Saatchi Art - Art History Content
Manage a team of three writers to create 50+ articles for SaatchiArt.com that: 1) summarized history of various art media and historical art movements/styles 2) were well-researched and included specific keywords/phrases provided by SEO consultants
As the worlds largest and most trusted online art gallery, it was important for Saatchi Art to publish well researched/written content that upheld their reputation as art experts. All content was thoroughly researched and written in an academic tone.
Ticketmaster.com Artist Biographies
Write short artist bios for Ticketmaster.com that: 1) provided background history and a description of the act's live shows 2) included SEO keywords/phrases (e.g. "<Artist> Tickets", "live," "concert," "tour," and album/song titles.
Consistent with Ticketmaster's established brand voice, I wrote artist bios in a conversational tone--attempting to drum up excitement for the act's upcoming shows. My average output was five artist bios per day (including research) working part time as an independent freelancer.
Hey Hawaii - Tourist Attraction Descriptions
Heyhawaii.com is a photo blog/tourism information site showcasing over 200 attractions in the Hawaiian Islands. I was given the job of researching and then writing 100-word blurbs describing the location and providing useful tips for travelers.
I knew from previous experience that the client favored casual, conversational copy--so that's what I delivered. While researching, I pulled together information from official websites, tourism sites, and user review sites (i.e. Yelp and Trip Advisor) to arrive at a balanced view of the attractions. Typical output: ten blurbs per day.
Troubadour.com - Overall Content Revamp
Update website content for the 2007 revamp of Troubdaour.com -- the online home of the legendary music venue.
Edited/rewrote all existing copy for clarity of message, grammar, etc. I also fact-checked, edited, and added new events of interest to the Troubadour’s historical timeline, from 1957 – 2007. For example, did you know that songwriter Lori Lieberman wrote "Killing Me Softly With His Song" about a performance given by Dom McLean at the Troubadour? Or that Bob Dylan's impromptu jam session with the Troub's resident rock act, The Men, may have led to his infamous turn to folk-rock? No? Well now you do.
